This shot is a little experiment done with candle light. Also gave me a chance to explore DOF.

Single candle used. Hope you'll like it....

Great compo but could be much sharper and i don't really like the tones.... Also agree with GTO about contrast....

i think it is a beautiful simple piece. i have read by little light before, so i know how that lighting is. even though you cant see much, you can tell a lot by what you can see. it looks like an older book, and very formal because of the paper used. also it looks like a reference book of some sort because of the layout of the text. with this in mind, i believe he is trying to capture someone studying late at night in the older days by candle light. beautiful piece, and cant wait to see more. good job

I love the idea, but i think it would have been better on a black table (i think the curves are a bit disturbing). but very nice mood anyway !
